NBA: Miami 104, Indiana 101

MIAMI, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Dwyane Wade scored 33 points, including the clinching basket Thursday night, as the Miami Heat beat the Indiana Pacers, 104-101.

Miami -- which won for the fifth time in six games -- led, 85-70, at the end of the third period but saw that lead dwindle before Wade hit the game-winner with 10 seconds left to play.

The Pacers -- playing shorthanded after traded away four players earlier in the week -- used a 10-0 run in the fourth period to get close. Shawne Williams' three-pointer from the left wing made the score 102-101 with 13 seconds left.

The Heat got the ball down court and Wade, thinking he'd been fouled, tossed the ball toward the basket. No foul was called, but the shot went in.

Indiana had a final shot to tie but Danny Granger's three-point try was off the front of the rim.

Wade had eight assists to go with his 33 points and Jason Williams had 20 points and eight assists for Miami.

Granger had a career-best 28 points, Marquis Daniels added 23 points and Jermaine O'Neal had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Pacers.
