NHL hands out weekly player honors

NEW YORK, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Ottawa Senators rightwing Daniel Alfredsson, Calgary Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff and Florida Panthers center Ollie Jokinen share NHL weekly honors.

Alfredsson had three goals and six assists in Ottawa's three wins last week.

Kiprusoff posted a 1.33 goals-against average in the Flames' three victories, blocking 26-shots in Calgary's shutout of Minnesota, and Jokinen had five goals, including a hat trick against Pittsburgh Jan. 9.

The player honors are for the week that ended Sunday.
