NHL: Calgary 3, Edmonton 1

CALGARY, Alberta, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Dion Phaneuf and Matthew Lombardi scored third-period goals Saturday night as the Calgary Flames won their sixth straight game -- 3-1 over Edmonton.

The provincial rivals battled to a 1-1 tie through two periods, but Phaneuf scored his 10th goal of the season on a slap shot 11:29 into the third.

Lombardi provided insurance at 14:53 with a wrist shot that beat Oilers goalie Dwayne Roloson, who gave up three goals on just 16 shots.

Shawn Horcoff had put Edmonton in front at 5:03 of the second and Jeff Friesen tied it 3:34 later on the power play.
