NHL: Minnesota 5, Vancouver 2

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Brian Rolston scored a goal and had two assists Thursday night as the Minnesota Wild brought an end to Vancouver's seven-game winning streak, 5-2.

Minnesota halted a three-game skid of its own with Manny Fernandez making 24 saves.

Taylor Pyatt and Willie Mitchell scored for Vancouver. Roberto Luongo gave up five goals on 38 shots.

Vancouver fell behind by three goals and then cut its deficit to 3-2 before Marian Gaborik scored at 5:17 of the third, and the Wild made the lead stand up the rest of the way.
