BOSTON, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Patrice Bergeron and Glen Murray scored first period power play goals Thursday night to lead Boston past the Vancouver Canucks, 2-0.
Goaltender Tim Thomas stopped 38 shots to record his first shutout of the season for the Bruins, who have won three of their last four games.

Dany Sabourin made 17 saves on 19 shots for the Canucks, who have split their last four games.
On the power play, both teams had six chances, with Boston capitalizing twice and Vancouver failing to score.
