NBA: Phoenix 116, Boston 111

BOSTON, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Shawn Marion had 29 points and 12 rebounds, and Phoenix won its ninth straight game Friday night with a 116-111 victory at Boston.

The Suns were down, 81-80, after three quarters, but out-scored the Celtics, 36-30, in the fourth.

Steve Nash had 16 points, 14 assists and five rebounds for Phoenix. Boris Diaw had 14 points, seven rebounds and six assists; Raja Bell also scored 14 points; while Amare Stoudamire added 13 points and two rebounds for the Suns, who have won their last five games at Boston's Fleet Center.

The win came a day after Thursday night's marathon 161-157 double overtime win at New Jersey.

Paul Pierce had 36 points, five rebounds and five assists for Boston. Tony Allen and Ryan Gomes scored 18 points apiece, and Sebastian Telfair had 14 points and five assists for the Celtics, who have lost five games in a row.

Phoenix had a slight 40-38 rebounding edge.
