NHL: Atlanta 5, Toronto 2

TORONTO, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Slava Kozlov had two goals and an assist Tuesday as the Atlanta Thrashers scored five third-period goals in a 5-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Glen Metropolit added a goal and two assists and Marian Hossa scored his league-leading 21st goal of the season and also had an assist for the Thrashers, who won their fifth straight game.

Johan Hedberg stopped 17 shots for Atlanta.

Darcy Tucker and Michael Peca each scored a goal for the Maple Leafs, who have lost their last five games. Andrew Raycroft gave up four goals on 36 shots in the loss.

Atlanta trailed 2-0 heading into the third period despite outshooting Toronto, 29-10, in the first two periods.
