LAWRENCE, Kan., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Darrell Arthur scored 26 points Sunday as third-ranked Kansas blasted Towson, 87-61.
The 6-foot-9 inch freshman from Dallas also had eight rebounds and three blocked shots.
Mario Chalmers had 15 points, four rebounds and four assists for Kansas. Brandon Rush had 13 points and two rebounds, but five turnovers; and Julian Wright totaled 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals for the Jayhawks (2-1), who bounced back from a shocking 78-71 upset loss to Oral Roberts Wednesday night.
Gary Neal had 17 points, three rebounds and two steals; and Tommy Breaux had eight points, five rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots for the Tigers (2-1).
On the battle of the boards, Kansas had a 30-28 advantage.
