NBA: Dallas 89, Memphis 84

DALLAS, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki sank 7-of-15 shots and scored a game-high 24 points Saturday night to lead Dallas over Memphis, 89-84.

Nowitzki also had 13 rebounds, two assists; and five turnovers.

Jason Terry had 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists; Devon Harris had 12 points and four assists; and Anthony Johnson added nine assists for the Mavericks, have won five games in a row after starting the season with four straight losses.

Rudy Gay had 23 points and seven rebounds; Chucky Atkins scored 17 points; while Lawrence Roberts had 11 points and five rebounds for the Grizzlies, whose losing streak grew to seven straight games.

Dallas, which committed 22 turnovers, easily won the rebounding battle, 48-32.

Memphis led, 46-44, at the half.
