BOSTON, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Paul Pierce's 32 points led the Boston Celtics to their second win of the season Wednesday night, a 114-88 victory over the Indiana Pacers.
Boston ended a three-game losing streak but remained mired in its worst start since the 1978-79 season.

Wally Szczerbiak scored 20 points for the Celtics while Ryan Gomes and Kendrick Perkins scored a dozen each.
The Celtics fought off the visiting Pacers with a 13-1 run to open the third quarter and a 13-2 spurt at the start of the fourth.
Indiana -- led by Al Harrington's 23 points -- lost for the third time in its last four contests.
