COL BKB: Marquette 87, Detroit 45

MILWAUKEE, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Dominic James scored 20 points to lead 16th-ranked Marquette to an 87-45 win over Detroit Tuesday.

The action came in the second round of the College Basketball Experience Classic.

Marquette (2-0) will face either Texas Tech or Arkansas-Little Rock next Monday in Kansas City.

Wesley Matthews added 15 points, Lazar Hayward 14 and David Cubillan 10 for Marquette's Golden Eagles.

Ryvon Covile led Detroit (1-1) with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Brandon Cotton was the only other Detroit player in double figures with 11 points.
