COL FB: West Virginia 42, Cincinnati 24

MORGANTOWN, W.Va., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Steve Slaton rushed for 148 yards and two TDs and Pat White also ran for two TDs Saturday afternoon as No. 10 West Virginia easily handled Cincinnati, 42-24.

Slaton carried the ball 12 times -- scoring on a 65-yard run in the second quarter and a 3-yard run in the third. White picked up 93 yards on 10 carries, and completed seven of 13 passes for 98 yards and a 34-yard pass to Brandon Myles for the Mountaineers (8-1, 3-1 Big East).

Dustin Grutza completed 113-of-24 for 143 yards and a touchdown, but also threw two interceptions for the Bearcats (5-5, 2-3), who lost for just the second time in six games.

Kevin Lovell kicked a 40-yard field goal for Cincinnati and backup quarterback Nick Davila threw a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes to Conor Barwin.

The Mountaineers had 240 total yards of offense in the first half, to just 95 yards for the Bearcats.
