KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Arian Foster scored the game-winning touchdown with 3:28 to play Saturday as the ninth-ranked Tennessee Vols took a 16-13 win over Alabama's Crimson Tide.
Tennessee's Erik Ainge went 28-for-46 passing with 302 yards but three interceptions for the Volunteers (6-1, 2-1 SEC), who have won their last four games.
John Parker Wilson was 13-for-29 with 158 yards and D.J. Hall had seven receptions for 102 yards for the Crimson Tide (5-3, 2-3).
The Volunteers were trailing 13-6 heading into the final 15 minutes, but cut their deficit to four points when James Wilhoit kicked a 27-yard field goal to make it 13-9 with a little over eight minutes to play.
Tennessee forced Alabama to punt on its ensuing possession and put together the game-winning drive starting on its own 30 yard line.
