Kahne wins Bank of America 500

CONCORD, N.C., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Kasey Kahne won Saturday night's Bank of America 500 Nextel Cup race at the Lowe's Motor Speedway by finishing 1.624 seconds ahead of Jimmie Johnson.

The victory was Kahne's sixth of the season and seventh of his Nextel Cup career.

Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Bobby Labonte completed the top-five.

Race No.6 of the 10-race "Chase for the Nextel Cup" is scheduled for Oct. 22 at the Martinsville Speedway.
