ATLANTA, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Three players had three RBI Wednesday night as Atlanta pounded the New York Mets, 13-1.
Brian McCann had two runs, three hits, including a two-run homer, and three RBI; Jeff Francoeur had three runs, two hits, including a solo home run, and three RBI; Chipper Jones had one run, two hits, including a two-run homer, and three RBI; Ryan Longerhans had two hits and one RBI; and Scott Thorman hit a solo home run for the Braves (77-81), who have split their last six games.
Winner Tim Hudson (13-12) scattered a run and four hits over six innings with three walks and two strikeouts.
Shawn Green hit an RBI ground out for the lone run; and Endy Chavez had two of the six hits for the Mets (93-65), who have a four-game losing streak.
Losing pitcher Pedro Martinez (9-8) gave up eight hits and seven runs in 2 2/3 innings.
