MLB: LA Dodgers 11, Colorado 4

DENVER, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Nomar Garciaparra homered and drove in three runs Tuesday as the LA Dodgers moved into sole possession of the NL wild card lead with an 11-4 win over Colorado.

Russell Martin drove in four runs and Marlon Anderson homered and finished with two RBI, as the Dodgers won for the fourth time in five games to move one game ahead of Philadelphia in the wild card race. The Phillies lost, 4-3, at Washington Tuesday.

The Dodgers also remained two games behind San Diego for the lead in the NL West, as the Padres beat St. Louis, 7-5.

Greg Maddux (14-14) pitched six innings for his 332nd career victory, as he gave up seven hits and three runs.

Jason Jennings (9-13) suffered the loss after yielding nine hits and six runs with five walks over five innings.

Garrett Atkins and Brad Hawpe hit solo homers for Colorado.
