COL FB: Alabama 13, Vanderbilt 10

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- John Parker Wilson passed for 207 yards and a touchdown Saturday as the 25th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores, 13-10.

Wilson completed 18-of-29 passes with an interception as the Crimson Tide (2-0, 1-0 SEC) won their 18th-straight game in their series against the Commodores.

Vanderbilt (0-2) was led by Chris Nickson who completed 15-of-23 passes for 140 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.

Vanderbilt scored 10 unanswered points in the second quarter to carry a 10-3 lead into halftime. But the second half belonged to the Crimson Tide as Alabama put up 10 unanswered points of its own in the session.

Alabama had 341 yards total offense and forced four turnovers.
