MLB: Minnesota 7, Chi. White Sox 3

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- A two-run homer by Torii Hunter Sunday afternoon helped Minnesota beat the Chicago White Sox, 7-3.

Mike Redmond hit a two-run single; Michael Cuddyer had two hits and two RBI; Justin Morneau had two hits and one RBI; and Luis Castillo had a run and two hits for the Twins (72-51), who have won four of their last six games.

Winner Johan Santana (15-5) yielded one run and six hits in seven innings with no walks and five strikeouts.

Tadahito Iguchi had two hits, including an RBI double; Joe Crede hit an RBI single; while Jermaine Dye hit a sacrifice fly for the White Sox (73-50), who have split their last four games.

Losing pitcher Javier Vazquez (11-8) gave up five runs and seven hits in seven innings with two walks and four strikeouts.
