MLB: Florida 4, Atlanta 3

MIAMI, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- An RBI triple by Wes Helms in the bottom of the seventh inning Sunday afternoon gave the Florida Marlins a 4-3 win over the Atlanta Braves.

Josh Willingham had a run and two hits, including a solo home run, while Dan Uggla and Miguel Olivo both hit RBI singles for the Marlins (57-66), who averted a three-game sweep.

Winner Dontrelle Willis (8-10) gave up three runs and four hits in seven innings with three walks and five strikeouts.

Joe Borowski earned his 27th save.

Jeff Francoeur had two runs and three of the four hits, including a two-run homer, and a run scored on a double play groundout by Todd Pratt for the Braves (58-65), who lost for the fourth time in their last 10 games.

The losing pitcher was reliever Tyler Yates (1-4).

Willis got just his second victory in his last eight outings.
