MLB: Cleveland 6, Kansas City 5

CLEVELAND, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- An RBI double by Travis Hafner in the bottom of the eighth inning Saturday night gave Cleveland a 6-5 win over Kansas City and a doubleheader sweep.

As in the opener, it was Hafner's only hit of the contest. He also hit an RBI groundout in the nightcap.

Kelly Shoppach hit a three-run homer; and Grady Sizemore had two runs, two hits and one RBI for the Indians (52-64), who had only five hits but won their fifth straight game.

The winner was reliever Brian Sikorski (1-0).

Ryan Shealy had three hits, including a pair of two run singles; Joey Gathright hit an RBI single; while both David DeJesus and Mark Teahen scored twice for the Royals (41-76), who have split their last six games.

The losing pitcher was reliever Jimmy Gobble (3-4).
