NEW YORK, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Batting like New York Yankee Derek Jeter is a long shot for most, but at least now Jeter wannabes will be able to smell like the baseball superstar.
The Yankees captain is launching a men's fragrance for Avon called Jeter, described as a combination of chilled grapefruit, clean oakmoss and spice, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday.
Avon President Claudia Poccia said the scent will be available in November from the cosmetic giant's 500,000 home-based sellers.
"It is different for us," she said. "But this is a man who is successful and driven and committed to giving back. His values system so nearly mirrors ours."
Some of the proceeds from sales of the cologne -- which will go for $25 per 2.5 ounces -- will go to Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation.
