MLB: Toronto 6, Washington 1

TORONTO, June 28 (UPI) -- Frank Catalanotto had three hits and three RBI Wednesday night to lead Toronto over the Washington Nationals, 6-1.

Reed Johnson hit a two-run triple, Lyle Overbay had two hits and one RBI, and Bengie Molina had two runs and three hits for the Blue Jays (43-34), who have won two straight and six of their last eight games.

Winning pitcher Ted Lilly (8-7) scattered five hits over six scoreless innings with two walks and six strikeouts.

Ryan Zimmerman hit an RBI double, and both he and Jose Vidro had two hits for the Nationals (33-46), who have lost seven of their last eight games and 12 of their last 15.

Losing pitcher Shawn Hill (1-3) yielded four runs and nine hits in five innings.
