CHICAGO, June 26 (UPI) -- Willy Taveras hit an RBI single in the top of the 13th inning Sunday night as Houston beat the Chicago White Sox, 10-9.
The hit offset a seven-RBI performance by the White Sox' Tadahito Iguchi, who hit a grand slam and a three-run homer.

Mike Lamb and Lance Berkman hit home runs; Adam Everett had two runs and three hits; while Taveras and Eric Bruntlett each had two hits for the Astros (38-38), who snapped a three-game losing streak.
The winning pitcher was Fernando Nieve (3-3).
Paul Konerko hit a solo home run; while both Alex Cintron and Scott Podsednik had two hits and two RBI for the White Sox (49-26), who had a nine-game winning streak snapped.
The loser was Brandon McCarthy (3-4).
