MLB: Minnesota 7, Baltimore 5 (12 inn.)

MINNEAPOLIS, June 10 (UPI) -- Justin Morneau hit his second home run of the game in the bottom of the 12th inning Friday night as Minnesota beat Baltimore, 7-5.

Earlier, he hit a three-run shot to give him five RBI with his two homers.

Michael Cuddyer had two runs and one hit, Joe Mauer had one run and three hits, and Terry Tiffee had two hits and one RBI for the Twins (27-33), who have won two straight games following a four-game losing streak.

In relief, the winner was Joe Nathan (4-0).

Mauer is batting .513 in his last 18 games, raising his average to a major league-best .384.

Both Brian Fahey and Corey Patterson knocked in two runs, and Brian Roberts had three hits for the Orioles (28-34), who have lost three of their last four games.

The loser was Bruce Chen, who sank to 0-6.
