MLB: Baltimore 7, Toronto 5

BALTIMORE, June 8 (UPI) -- Baltimore scored three runs without an RBI hit in the bottom of the eighth inning Thursday night to beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 7-5.

The runs scored on a fielders' choice ground ball by Brian Fahey, a bases-loaded walk to Brian Roberts and a wild pitch by Scott Downs.

Melvin Mora hit a sacrifice fly, Javy Lopez had one run and two hits, and Corey Patterson had two hits for the Orioles (28-33), who improved to 10-15 in their last 25 games against Toronto.

Winner Kurt Birkins rose to 2-0. Chris Ray earned his 15th save.

Lyle Overbay had two runs and three hits, Aaron Hill had two runs and two hits, and Reed Johnson had two hits and drove in two runs for the Blue Jays (33-26), who were 4-3 on a seven-game road swing.

Losing pitcher Francisco Rosario fell to 1-1.
