MLB: Cincinnati 7, St. Louis 4

ST. LOUIS, June 7 (UPI) -- Rich Aurilia hit a three-run homer Wednesday night as Cincinnati beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-4, for its seventh straight victory.

Aurilia had four hits, scored one run and drove in five; Scott Hatteberg had two runs, two hits and two RBI; Ryan Freel had two runs and two hits; and Felipe Lopez scored twice for the Reds (35-24), who have pulled even with St. Louis for first place in the National League Central Division standings.

Winner Aaron Harang (7-4) gave up eight hits and three runs in 5 2/3 innings.

Scott Rolen hit a two-run double, Jim Edmonds hit two RBI singles, and David Eckstein had one run and two hits for the Cardinals (35-24), who have lost three in a row and five of their last six games.

Loser Sydney Ponson (4-1) suffered his first loss of the season.
