MLB: Cincinnati 7, Houston 5

HOUSTON, June 4 (UPI) -- Ken Griffey, Jr. had three hits, including his 544th career home run Saturday night as Cincinnati beat the Houston Astros, 7-5.

Winning pitcher Bronson Arroyo had three hits and drove in four runs; David Ross had two runs and two hits; and Edwin Carnacion hit a two-run double for the Reds (31-24), who won their third straight game.

Arroyo (7-2) allowed two and eight hits in six innings with one walk and six strikeouts.

Eric Bruntlett, Craig Biggio, and Morgan Ensberg each had one RBI; Adam Everett had one hit and two runs; and Mike Lamb had one run and two hits for the Astros (27-29), who have lost three straight and four of their last five games.

Losing pitcher Andy Pettitte (4-7) was pounded for seven runs and nine hits in six innings.
