ST. LOUIS, May 31 (UPI) -- So Taguchi hit an RBI single in the bottom of the 11th inning Wednesday, giving St. Louis a 4-3 win over the Houston Astros.
David Eckstein had two runs and two hits, Albert Pujols had one run, one hit and one RBI; and Yadier Molina had one run and one hit for the Cardinals (34-19), who have won twice in their last three games.

In relief, winner Braden Looper rose to 3-0.
Orlando Palmeiro had two hits and two runs; while both Lance Berkman and Eric Bruntlett had two hits and one RBI for the Astros (27-27).
Houston has split its last four games.
Losing pitcher Mike Gallo dropped to 1-2.
St. Louis improved to 20-8 at home.
