MLB: LA Dodgers 7, LA Angels 0

LOS ANGELES, May 21 (UPI) -- Derek Lowe pitched seven shutout innings Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the LA Angels of Anaheim, 7-0, to sweep the three-game weekend series.

Lowe (2-3) scattered three hits and struck out seven while walking three for his first win in his last seven starts. Jonathan Broxton allowed just one hit over the final two innings to preserve the shutout.

Nomar Garciaparra hit two doubles and drove in three runs for the Dodgers, who have won four straight and six of their last seven. Kenny Lofton had three hits and scored twice, and Andre Ethier belted a three-run homer.

Starter Ervin Santana (4-2) gave up five runs on five hits with two strikeouts and a walk in four innings for the Angels.

Orlando Cabrera and Garret Anderson each had two hits for the Angels, who have lost five straight and seven of their last eight overall.
