MLS: New England 4, Los Angeles 0

FOXBORO, Mass., May 6 (UPI) -- Taylor Twellman scored in the game's first five minutes Saturday to help the New England Revolution beat the Los Angeles Galaxy, 4-0.

Major League Soccer's reigning MVP had to overcome the death of his grandfather earlier in the week.

Shalrie Joseph scored twice and Steve Ralston scored the other goal for New England (2-2-1), which got its first-ever sweep of the Galaxy after a 1-0 victory on April 1.

During halftime, former U.S. National team players Alexi Lalas and Carla Overbeck were named to The National Soccer Hall of Fame.

The Galaxy made four saves to three for the Revolution.

Los Angeles, which had only three shots on goal, fell to 2-3.

Next Saturday, New England is home against Chivas USA. Los Angeles plays host to FC Dallas on Wednesday.
