MLB: Chi. White Sox 9, Kansas City 2

CHICAGO, May 6 (UPI) -- Tadahito Iguchi had three runs, four hits and one run scored Saturday night as the Chicago White Sox pounded Kansas City, 9-2.

Jim Thome hit a three-run homer, Brian Anderson had two hits -- including a two-run homer -- and A.J. Pierzynski had three hits and two RBI for the White Sox (21-9), who have won two of their last three games.

In 7 2/3 innings, winner Javier Vazquez (4-1) allowed two runs and four hits with no walks and six strikeouts.

Esteban German had two hits and an RBI, while Angel Berroa and Emil Brown both scored once for the Royals (7-21).

Kansas City has lost two in a row and eight of its last 10 games.

Losing pitcher Runelvys Hernandez (1-2) gave up six runs and nine hits in 4 2/3 innings with a walk and three strikeouts.
