SAN FRANSCISCO, Calif., April 29 (UPI) -- Moises Alou hit a home run in the bottom of the ninth inning Saturday as San Francisco edged the Arizona Diamondbacks, 3-2.
The homer was Alou's only hit of the game.

Randy Winn and Lance Niekro knocked in the other runs and Omar Vizquel had two hits and scored once for the Giants (13-10).
Winner Armando Benitez (1-0) tossed a perfect ninth inning.
Shawn Green and Eric Byrnes each drove in a run and Chad Tracy had three hits for the Diamondbacks (11-13), who have dropped the first two games of the three-game series.
Losing pitcher Luis Vizcaino fell to 0-2 after giving up Alou's home run.
