MLB: N.Y. Mets 9, San Francisco 7

SAN FRANSCISCO, Calif., April 26 (UPI) -- Chris Woodward drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th inning Wednesday as the New York Mets beat San Francisco, 9-7.

Jose Reyes was 2-for-5 and drove in a run; Carlos Delgado had two hits and drove in one; starting pitcher Brian Bannister went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored; while Endy Chavez had three hits and scored twice for the Mets (14-7), who have are 4-3 in their last seven games.

Before leaving the game with a strained right hamstring, Bannister gave up three runs and seven hits in five innings.

Barry Bonds hit his 711th home run; Moises Alou went 3-for-6 with two RBI; and Pedro Feliz went 3-for-5 with a run scored for the Giants (11-10), who are 4-6 in their last 10 games.

The winner was Darren Oliver (1-0). The loser was Scott Munter (0-1).
