MLB: N.Y. Mets 4, San Francisco 1

SAN FRANCISCO, April 26 (UPI) -- Cliff Floyd hit a two-run homer as the visiting New York Mets downed the San Francisco Giants, 4-1, in the second contest of a three-game series Tuesday.

Xavier Nady also homered and Paul LoDuca knocked in the other run for the Mets, who snapped a two-game losing skid. On the mound, Steve Trachsel (2-1) conceded just one run on three hits in six innings to pick up the win.

The only offense for the Giants came from Barry Bonds, who homered in the second inning. It was Bonds' second homer of the season and 710th of his career, leaving him four homers shy of Babe Ruth for second on the all-time list.

Jamey Wright (2-1) was saddled with the loss as he allowed four runs on 10 hits in eight innings of work.
