LaBarbera made more than half his saves -- 16 -- in the third period as San Jose tried to work back from a 2-0 deficit after two periods.

San Jose saw an 8-game wining streak end in Monday's contest as Evgeni Nabokov allowed four goals on 29 Los Angeles shots. Pavol Demitra, Mark Parrish, Mike Cammalleri and Mattias Norstrom each scored goals for the Kings.

Demitra's short-handed goal at 15:42 of the first period opened the scoring and at 7:19 of the second Parrish added a power-play goal for a 2-0 lead. Cammalleri scored 1:20 into the third period and Norstrom added another power-play goal with about five minutes to play to cap the scoring.
