NHL: Atlanta 6, Tampa Bay 2

TAMPA, Fla., April 11 (UPI) -- Bobby Holik and Andy Sutton each scored two goals Tuesday as the Atlanta Thrashers posted a 6-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lighting.

Marian Hossa and Steve McCarthy also scored for the Thrashers, who with 85 points moved to within four points of the Lighting for the eighth and final playoff spot in the NHL Eastern Conference.

Mike Dunham made 32 saves to help Atlanta win for the third time in its last four games.

Martin St. Louis and Dimitry Afanasenkov scored for Tampa Bay, which remained two points behind idle Montreal for the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference.
