DENVER, April 9 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored a team-high 28 points Saturday night as the Denver Nuggets edged Golden State, 95-92.
Anthony added three rebounds and two assists.
Francisco Elson had 13 points, four rebounds and two steals; Greg Buckner had 11 points, three rebounds and eight assists; and Howard Eisley had 11 points, two rebounds and four assists for the Nuggets (43-34). Denver clinched at least a share of the Northwest Division crown with the victory.
Derek Fisher had 19 points, nine assists and two steals; Ike Diogu scored 19 points; Mike Dunleavy added 18 points and 10 rebounds; while Troy Murphy had eight points and 19 rebounds for the Warriors (30-46), who have dropped their last eight games.
Denver won despite making only 21-of-40 free throw attempts.
The Nuggets have won two of the three meetings between the two teams this season.
