MLB: St. Louis 4, Philadelphia 3

PHILADELPHIA, April 5 (UPI) -- Albert Pujols hit his third home run in two games Wednesday night to help St. Louis beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-3.

Yadier Molina had two hits and drove in former Phillie Scott Rolen with the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth; and rookie Skip Schumaker, who hit his first major league homer, had two hits and scored two runs for the Cardinals (2-0), who won the first two games of the season-opening three-game set.

The Phillies' Jimmy Rollins, who had two hits and scored once, extended his hitting streak to 38 games with a double in the first inning; David Bell hit a game-tieing two-run homer in the seventh inning; and Tom Gordon (0-1) surrendered the game-winning run for the Phillies (0-2), who again host the Cardinals on Thursday aftertnoon.
