SYRACUSE, N.Y., March 5 (UPI) -- Allan Ray had 28 points, three rebounds and two steals Sunday to help 4th-ranked Villanova beat Syracuse, 92-82.
Randy Foye added 21 points, six assists and six rebounds; Kyle Lowry had 17 points, six assists, eight rebounds and four steals; and Mike Nardi had 12 points and six rebounds for the Wildcats (23-3, 14-2 Big East), who ended the regular season with 13 wins in 14 their last games.
On an emotional Senior Day, guard Gerry McNamara had 29 points, two rebounds and eight assists; Eric Devendorf added 19 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot; and Terrence Roberts had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Orange (19-11, 7-9 Big East), who ended the regular season with losses in their last two games -- and likely will have to win at least one game in next week's Big East Tournament to get an NCAA Tournament bid.
