NHL: Ottawa 4, Pittsburgh 3

PITTSBURGH, March 2 (UPI) -- Daniel Alfredsson, Brian Pothier and Dany Heatley all had a goal and an assist Wednesday night as Ottawa edged the Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-3.

Peter Schaefer also scored a goal; Mike Fisher, Andrej Meszaros and Zdeno Chara added assists and Ray Emery made 27 saves in place of injured starter Dominik Hasek for the Senators (38-14-5). Hasek sustained a strained adductor muscle in the Czech Republic's opening game in the Winter Olympics against Germany.

John LeClair and Jani Rita each had a goal and had an assist; Andre Roy scored once; and Marc-Andre Fleury allowed four goals on 26 shots for the Penguins (14-35-11), who had won two in a row before the Olympic break.

Pittsburgh out-shot Ottawa, 30-26. On the power play; the Penguins were 1-for-6; the Senators went 3-for-4.
