COL BKB: GW 89, St. Bonaventure 78

OLEAN, N.Y., March 2 (UPI) -- Omar Williams had 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists Wednesday night as 6th-ranked George Washington beat St. Bonaventure, 89-78.

With the victory, the Colonials extended their nation's best winning streak to 17 games in a row.

Maureece Rice had 16 points, two assists and a steal; Danilo Pinnock had 15 points, 12 rebounds and six assists; and Mike Hall added 15 points, 11 rebounds and four assists for George Washington (25-1, 15-0 Atlantic 10), which set a school record for most victories in a season.

Michael Lee had 18 points and three rebounds; Ahmad Smith had 14 points, seven assists and four rebounds; Tyler Relph scored 13 points; Patrick Lottin added 12 points and 10 rebounds; and Paul Williams had 10 points, four rebounds and two assists for the Bonnies (8-18, 2-13 A-10), who have lost three of their last four games.

St. Bonaventure has lost 12 straight games against ranked opponents.
