Ian Laperriere, Andrew Brunette and Rob Blake all scored for the Colorado Avalanche, who had dropped two in a row after eight straight wins. John-Michael Liles and Brett McLean both had a pair of assists in the loss.

With Detroit on a 5-on-3 power play, Datsyuk slid a pass across the crease to Lang, who tapped the puck into an open left side to snap a 3-3 deadlock with 2:58 left in the second period.
