NBA: Dallas 110, New Jersey 77

DALLAS, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Keith Van Horn scored 21 of his 23 points in the first half Saturday against his former team as the Dallas Mavericks beat the New Jersey Nets, 110-77.

Josh Howard led the Dallas scoring with 29 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 16 for Dallas, which has won four of its last five games.

Dallas has beaten New Jersey 11 straight times.

Jason Kidd scored 19 points and Vince Carter 17 for New Jersey, which tied a season-high with its third consecutive defeat following a 10-game win streak. Dallas scored 36 points off 25 New Jersey 25 turnovers -- seven of them by Kidd.
