NHL: Tampa Bay 4, Columbus 2

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Martin St. Louis had a goal and an assist Friday night as Tampa Bay beat the Columbus Blue Jackets, 4-2.

Ruslan Fedotenko, Vincent Lecavalier and Tim Taylor also scored goals, Vaclav Prospal had two assists, and goaltender Sean Burke made 22 saves for the Lightning (22-19-3), who broke a two-game slide.

David Vyborny and Nikolai Zherdev scored goals, Rick Nash, Sergei Fedorov, Ron Hainsey and Jaroslav Balastik had assists, and goalie Marc Denis recorded 35 saves for Columbus (14-28-2), who had won two straight but lost for the fourth time in their last six games.

Tampa Bay out-shot Columbus, 39-24. The Blue Jackets were 1-for-3 on the power play while the Lightning went 0-for-6.
