NBA: San Antonio 96, New Jersey 91

SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- San Antonio's Tim Duncan racked up 27 points and 12 rebounds as the Spurs stopped the visiting New Jersey Nets' 10-game winning streak with a 96-91 victory.

Tony Parker scored 18 points and Manu Ginobili added 16 as the Spurs ran their own home winning streak to 12 games.

Vince Carter poured in a game-high 34 points for the Nets, who hadn't lost since Dec. 14. Jason Kidd compiled 15 points and eight boards in the setback. Nenad Krstic scored 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting for the Nets.

San Antonio finished 30-of-38 from the free-throw line, compared to 11-of-15 for New Jersey.
