NHL Score: Dallas 3, Vancouver 1

DALLAS, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Steve Ott and Jason Arnott each scored in the third period, as the Dallas Stars rallied for a 3-1 victory over the visiting Vancouver Canucks.

Mike Modano also scored for Dallas, and goaltender Marty Turco posted 20 saves for the Stars, who are now 6-4-1 in their last 11 games.

Brendan Morrison netted the lone goal for the Canucks, who have lost four of their last five overall. Alexander Auld allowed three goals on 37 shots in the losing effort.

Vancouver finished 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Stars went scoreless on five power-play chances.
