NBA: Dallas 95, Portland 81

DALLAS, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 points and had eight rebounds Tuesday as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 95-81.

Jason Terry also scored 22 points and had seven assists and Josh Howard added 21 points for the Mavericks, who have won five of their last six games.

Ruben Patterson and Zach Randolph each scored 19 points for the Trail Blazers, who have lost three consecutive games. Juan Dixon added 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
