NFL: Miami 24, NYJets 20

MIAMI, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Backup quarterback Sage Rosenfels engineered two second-half touchdown drives to lead the Miami Dolphins to a 24-20 win over the New York Jets.

Ricky Williams scored the tying touchdown early in the fourth quarter on a 23-yard run and Rosenfels hit Marty Booker with a 50-yard scoring pass on Miami's next series. The Dolphins (7-7) held off a late Jets charge to win their fourth straight game.

Brooks Bollinger threw a pair of touchdown passes for the Jets (3-11), who were coming off a victory last week against Oakland to snap a seven-game losing streak. New York finished its road schedule 0-8 for the first time in club history.

The Dolphins were clinging to a 24-20 lead late in the fourth as New York drove inside the Miami 20 for a first down. But Bollinger's next four passes fell incomplete and the Dolphins took over with 48 seconds remaining and ran out the clock.
