NBA: San Antonio 92, Dallas 90

DALLAS, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Tony Parker scored 30 points Thursday night to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 92-90 squeaker over the Dallas Mavericks.

Michael Finley, starting in place of an injured Manu Ginobili, had 15 points against his former team, and Tim Duncan added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the defending NBA champions, who improved to a Western Conference-best 12-3.

Marquis Daniels had 24 points and eight rebounds for the Mavericks, who have lost two in a row. Dirk Nowitzki added 14 points, nine rebounds and six assists, but missed a potential tying jumper at the buzzer.

It was a wild ending. Two free throws by Parker extended the Spurs lead to 92-88 with 12.2 seconds left. Daniels then missed a jumper, but got his own rebound and was fouled by Brent Barry on a three-point attempt with 6.1 seconds remaining.
