NHL: Buffalo 3, Montreal 1

BUFFALO, N.Y., Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Buffalo goaltender Martin Biron made 40 saves as the Sabres downed the Montreal Canadiens, 3-1, Friday at HSBC Arena.

Tim Connolly and Brian Campbell each had a goal and an assist and Ales Kotalik added the other goal for the Sabres, who have won five of their last six games.

Richard Zednik scored the only goal in the third period for the Canadiens, who have lost three of their last four games. Yann Danis made 28 saves in the loss. Montreal pulled Danis with a little over a minute left to play in the game, but was unable to score.

Sabres left winger Taylor Pyatt left after the first period with right wrist injury.
